Job summary

Kapco Inc. is seeking a Welder I for the weekend shift at our Grafton, WI location. You will operate robotic welding cells and ensure quality of welded parts while safely handling fixtures and records.

Ideal candidates have mechanical aptitude, physical dexterity, and basic welding knowledge. On-the-job training is provided, and Kapco offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401K, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and physical dexterity are important for weld work.
• On-the-job training will cover specific procedures and equipment.
• Experience with welding is recommended, especially robotic welding.

Responsibilities

• Daily operation of robotic welding work cells.
• Safe loading/unloading of fixtures and ensuring weld quality.
• Perform quality checks and record results.
• Ensure tare weight, tagging, and counts are correct.
• Other duties as assigned.

Welder I – Kapco Grafton, WI

Primary Responsibilities

• Daily operation of the robotic welding work cells
• Safe operation of robot loads and unloads fixtures and ensures the overall quality of welded parts
• Performs quality checks using proper measuring devices during operation and completes quality records
• Ensure all boxes have tare weight, proper tagging, and proper counts
• All other duties as assigned

Skills for this position are gained through on the job training. This includes changing of tips, opening the program needed, and running a bulls-eye when needed. Mechanical aptitude, physical dexterity, and knowledge of welding are recommended.
