Job summary

Solar Turbines in Wamego, Kansas is seeking a Welder I to perform welding on assembled structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks and pressure vessels. You will read blueprints, set up and weld using SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW, and complete necessary paperwork with accuracy.

The role requires a welding certification or equivalent experience, English fluency, and the ability to pass welding tests. Overtime may be required to support production demands.

Qualifications

• Possess a welding certification or equivalent experience.
• Able to read blueprints and documents.
• Fluency in English (read, write, comprehend).
• Experience with MIG and TIG welding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment and weld parts using SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW.
• Read blueprints to ensure accuracy of finished parts.
• Must be able to perform and pass welding certification tests.
• Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding.
• Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together.
