Job summary

PTMW is seeking a self-motivated welder to join our production team in Manhattan, KS. You will perform in-house welding work and may travel to client locations on site. The role requires adherence to deadlines and a focus on safety and quality.

Responsibilities include interpreting welding procedures, fitting assemblies, welding in multiple positions with GMAW/FCAW/GTAW, and maintaining equipment. A technical certificate or degree is preferred, with 1+ year experience and ability to lift up to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; welding technical certificate preferred.
• 1+ year welding experience.
• Experience in GMAW, FCAW, GTAW.
• Able to read tape measures and perform basic math.
• Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs.
• Must pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, physical capacity test and breath alcohol test.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and follow welding procedures and welding symbols on drawings.
• Use calibrated measuring tools to properly fit up assemblies.
• Weld parts in various positions, processes, and materials.
• Clean and maintain equipment and work area.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
• Assist in other areas of production as needed.
