Responsibilities

• Analyzes engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and MSDS to plan welding operations.
• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts prior to assembly using measuring tools.
• Selects proper tooling/fixturing and plans sequence of steps to perform duties.
• Interpret weld symbols and inspect welds for conformance to specifications.
• Assembles metal parts or products and prepares surfaces for welding.
• Operates welding, soldering or brazing equipment; moves equipment as needed.
