Job summary

The MIL Corporation is seeking a motivated Welder I to support fabrication, manufacturing, maintenance, assembly, and prototyping for defense, government, and commercial programs at NAWCAD Webster Outlying Field (WOLF) in St. Inigoes, Maryland.

Under supervision, the Welder I will perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding, assist with fit-up, inspections, and documentation, and develop skills toward certification in a hands-on fabrication environment.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years welding/fabrication experience
• Ability to read basic engineering drawings and weld symbols
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work
• Valid driver's license
• On-site work environment and safety compliance

Responsibilities

• Perform welding, cutting, grinding, brazing, and fabrication activities under supervision.
• Read and interpret basic blueprints, weld symbols, drawings, and work instructions.
• Operate welding equipment safely in fabrication shop.
• Assist with fabrication shop operations and production activities.
• Conduct visual inspections and document weld parameters.
