Senior Flexonics is seeking a Welder I to perform skilled welding and fabrication on exotic metals and new alloys. The role emphasizes thin-wall materials, full-penetration welds, and strict adherence to nondestructive inspection standards.

You will work on complex assemblies and support production with set-up and layout duties. The ideal candidate has prior welding experience, understands blueprints and welding specs, and can train junior welders.

Qualifications

• Requires experience in welding thin-wall materials and full-penetration welds.
• Must purge welds to prevent burn-through and meet inspection standards.
• Experience reading blueprints and welding specs.
• Able to work overtime, weekends, and flexible hours.

Responsabilités

• Welds exotic metals using an electric welding apparatus.
• Performs welds that must qualify under nondestructive inspection techniques.
• Performs welds in all positions by heliarc and SMAW.
• Assists in developing new welding/joining techniques.
• Sets up and lays out assemblies, including complex multi-plane work.
• Sets up work for automated welding equipment.
• Trains lower-grade employees in welding processes and techniques.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervision.
