Job summary

Ellwood Technical Welding in Houston, TX is seeking a Master Welder with deep expertise across all welding processes to uphold the highest fabrication standards. This role requires proven craftsmanship, reliability, and the ability to guide others on the shop floor.

You will lead shifts, mentor junior welders, read blueprints and welding drawings, and weld to exact specs on exotic materials. Minimum 5 years of experience and advanced qualification tests are required for this position.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, not required.
• Experience welding with exotic materials.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience.
• Must be able to read blueprints and welding drawings.
• Ability to perform algebra and basic trigonometry, and read welding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the workforce on assigned shifts with a strong focus on quality.
• Define work instructions and welding procedures with supervisor direction.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and proper tool storage.
• Trains and mentors lower‑level employees and can act as Team Leader when needed.
• Read blueprints, interpret welding drawings, and ensure proper layout and fitting.
