Job summary

General Steel & Supply Co., a division of Fisher Industries, seeks a Welder for our Dickinson, ND shop. You will perform welding and fabrication on new and refurbished equipment in a climate-controlled environment under the Shop Foreman, Monday through Friday, 7:00 A.M.

to 5:00 P.M., with possible overnight travel. Ideal candidates have welding skills for stick and wire, the ability to read blueprints, and machining experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Welding skills with stick and wire welders required.
• Must be able to read blueprints.
• Experience with machining is a plus.
• Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic welding and fabrication duties.
• Assist with checking accuracy and quality of all fabrication stages.
• Operate shop equipment (shear, press, iron worker).
• Follow safety policies and maintain a clean work area.
• Read and follow blueprints and specs.
• Maintain job records and paperwork.
• Work cooperatively with other employees and supervisors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
