Responsibilities

• Assist welders in the setup and performance of welding, cutting, and fabrication activities.
• Gather, transport, and organize tools, materials, and equipment needed for tasks.
• Prepare work areas by cleaning surfaces and staging materials.
• Grind, chip, clean, and prepare metal surfaces for welding operations.
• Measure, mark, and position materials as directed by welders or supervisors.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, grinders, and other equipment safely.
• Assist with rigging and material handling activities.
• Maintain welding equipment and work areas in a clean and orderly condition.
• Follow safety policies and participate in safety meetings and trainings.
• Perform general labor duties as assigned.
