Responsibilities

• Heat, form, press metal parts using hand tools and torch. (May use plasma welding equipment.)
• Have knowledge of blueprints to determine required welding method and equipment.
• Recognize welding symbols.
• Verify conformance of finished product to the print.
• Lay out, position, and secure parts, components, or structures according to the specifications.
• Use spot or rack welding techniques; comfortable with TIG & MIG welding and able to weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, down or overhead positions.
• Operate robotic welder.
• Read and understand a variety of measurement tools including tape measure, calipers, and micrometers.
