Job summary

Technibus in Canton, Ohio, is seeking Generator Welders and Enclosure Welders to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. You will fabricate and assemble generator enclosures and structural components used in power generation systems for data centers.

Ideal candidates will have MIG welding, blueprint reading, sheet metal and galvanized steel experience, and a strong mechanical aptitude. Safety and quality are priorities in our busy shop environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a MIG Welder, Structural Welder, Fitter/Welder, or similar manufacturing role.

Responsibilities

Welder – Generator & Enclosure Welder

Position Summary

Technibus is seeking experienced and motivated Generator Welders and Enclosure Welders to join our growing manufacturing team in Canton, Ohio. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling generator enclosures and structural components used in power generation systems for mission-\u2011critical data centers.

The ideal candidate has experience with structural welding, blueprint reading, fitting and welding, and working with a variety of materials including sheet metal and galvanized steel. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-\u2011quality work in a fast-\u2011paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on structural steel, generator frames, and enclosure components.


• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings to ensure accurate assembly.

Specific Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building generator enclosures or power generation equipment.


• Manufacturing or heavy fabrication experience.


• Experience working in a custom fabrication or industrial manufacturing environment.


• Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and move throughout the shift.


• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 60-80 pounds; heavier lifting may require team assistance or material handling equipment.


• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.


• Ability to safely wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including welding helmet, gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots.
