Job summary

IES is hiring an entry-level Assembler/Welder at the Manitowoc, WI site to support enclosure component fabrication through basic welding, fit-up, and mechanical assembly under supervision.

This role targets 0-3 years' experience and emphasizes learning safety, measuring, blueprint interpretation, and teamwork to meet daily production goals.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years experience in welding, fabrication, or mechanical assembly.
• Basic proficiency with MIG welding; exposure to TIG or Stick is a plus.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Entry-level ability to read and interpret drawings; training provided to build blueprint proficiency.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and use PPE, including respirators when required.
• Strong teamwork, reliability, and willingness to learn.
• Welding certifications (e.g., AWS/ASME) or technical school coursework is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with structural welding on enclosure components following drawings and trained procedures.

We are currently hiring for Assembler/Welders at the Manitowoc, WI location. The Assembler/Welder supports the fabrication and assembly of enclosure components by performing basic welding, fit-up, and mechanical assembly tasks under supervision.
