Job summary

Brookville Equipment Corporation is seeking a welder to plan and execute welding operations on metal components. You will read blueprints, set up welding equipment, and assemble or repair parts using cutting tools and torches.

Maintain surface prep standards and ensure weld quality per specs. Responsibilities include inspecting welds, aligning parts from blueprints, and operating grinders and torches in a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret blueprints.
• Arc and MIG welding of steel and torch cutting experience preferred.
• Technical welding training or certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan details of working procedure, tools and materials.
• Clean and prepare surfaces to be welded.
• Assemble/repair equipment parts by cutting, burning, and welding.
• Set up, assemble, and tack weld parts.
• Position dimensions from blueprints onto work pieces.
• Inspect welds to meet prints and cert requirements.
• Operate grinders, welders and cutting torches.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
• Other functions as assigned.

• Cleanandpreparesurfacestobewelded.
• Assemble/repair equipment parts by cutting, burning, and welding various metals.
• Set up, assemble, and tack weld parts.
• Position dimensions from blueprints onto work pieces.
• Build up work or defective surfaces.
• Ensure that correct procedures are followed.
• Inspect welds to meet print and certification requirements.
• Partially assemble machines after welding. Operate grinders, welders and cutting torches.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
• Other functions as assigned.

Requirements

• HighSchooldiploma.
• Technical training in welding preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Ability to Arc and Mig weld steel and cut with torches.
