Job summary

Sudden Service, INC is seeking a welder fitter to assemble new and used steel structures and repair components. You will work in the welding group, set up and operate burning equipment, and ensure quality workmanship in a manufacturing environment.

This full-time position requires a high school diploma or GED, passing the fitter test after 30 days, and the ability to operate a forklift and burn nesting machines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must pass fitter test after 30 day training to continue employment in position.
• Must be able to pass welding test and read blueprints/schematics related to welding.

Responsibilities

• Lay out, tack, and weld out weldments using hand and semi-automatic equipment.
• Set voltages and amperage for various material thicknesses.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area and machine.
