Job summary

Monroechamber in Milwaukee is seeking a skilled Fitter Welder for 1st shift to join our family-owned heavy equipment manufacturing team. You will set up welding equipment, weld per blueprints, and move weldments using an overhead crane while securing parts in fixtures.

Overtime and weekend availability may be required to meet production schedules. We value motivated individuals who can read weld symbols, perform basic math, and operate grinders and deburring tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of welding experience.
• Knowledge of MIG welding and cutting tools.
• Able to read blueprints with weld symbols.
• Able to lift and position fabricated metal parts using a crane.

Responsibilities

• Set up welding equipment and adjust for parts.
• Perform welding per blueprint symbols.
• Move weldments manually and secure workpieces in fixtures.
• Prepare surfaces and verify assembly accuracy with blueprints.
