Job summary

Opti Staffing is hiring experienced Welder/Fitters for a full-time opportunity in Clackamas, OR. There are two skill levels—Class A and Class B—with pay based on experience and demonstrated ability.

Weld, cut, and fabricate structural steel components, read blueprints and weld symbols, and perform FCAW/SMAW/GMAW in flat, horizontal, and overhead positions. Enjoy an overtime-friendly shop environment and a path to skill growth.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years welding experience.
• Proficiency with FCAW, SMAW and GMAW.
• Structural steel welding and fabrication experience.
• Ability to read weld symbols and welding drawings.
• Familiarity with WPS procedures.

Responsibilities

• Weld, cut, and fabricate structural steel components and assemblies.
• Lay out, mark, cut, saw, drill, punch, bolt, weld, and assemble steel components.
• Work with bars, I-beams, channels, angles, tees, plates, and other structural members.
• Perform FCAW, SMAW, and GMAW welding in multiple positions.
• Read blueprints and weld symbols; interpret WPS documentation.
• Inspect work for quality, safety, and adherence to specs.
