Job summary

Opti Staffing in Sherwood, Oregon is hiring a Welder/Fabricator to fit and fabricate large machines for the farming and logging industries. This role focuses on thick mild steel and requires skills in welding on heavy materials, measuring and layout.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of MIG welding experience on thick materials.
• Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols.
• Fitting & layout experience.
• Proficient with running .052 wire and welding on thick metals up to 3" thick.
• Must pass a medical exam/fit test.
• Familiarity with jib or overhead cranes & rigging.

Responsibilities

• Fit and fabricate large machines for logging and farming applications.
• Work on thick mild steel with diverse welding tasks.
• Collaborate with team to ensure precise welds and proper fit-up.

They are a complete process taking in material and performing everything from CNC machining, welding, and assembly.What You’ll Do:This is a Welder/Fabricator role where you will be challenged to fit and fabricate. This is NOT a production role where you will lay the same bead every day. You will be working on large machines for the logging and farm industry.
