Zenar Corporation in Oak Creek, WI is seeking a Welder-Fitter to perform welding in flat, vertical, and overhead positions, read blueprints, and assemble parts using measuring tools. You will operate welding equipment, cranes, and rigging as needed.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and 2–5 years of welding experience, with the ability to pass a 3G-052 flux-core test. OSHA safety rules and precision finishing are essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Weld components in flat, vertical and overhead positions.
• Complete layouts, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies using straightedges, squares, level and rulers.
• Complete procedures such as clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat, bend, grind or bolt components parts toobtain required configurations and positions for welding.
• Ability to operate a variety of small hand and power tools.
• Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted.
• Thorough understanding of practices involved in the use of various types of heavy equipment.
• Thorough understanding of safety rules and ability to safely operate machinery.
• Superior skill operating assigned equipment safely and efficiently.
• Requires the ability to operate various equipment to include welding equipment, forklift, hoists,riggings, and various hand and power tools. Requires a broad knowledge of mechanics, metalproperties, welding techniques and maintenance procedures and practices.
• Understanding structural blueprints and an ability to complete layouts as indicated.
• Overhead crane operation, chain rigging, forklift operation skills.

The employee is occasionally required to walk, sit, reach above shoulders, climb orbalance, talk or hear, and use foot/feet to operate machine. The employee must regularly lift and/or moveup to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds with an overhead or jib crane, andoccasionally move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision,distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Education and/or Experience

Requires high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and 2 to 5 years of experience. Candidate must be able to complete a 3G.052 flux core welding test
