Job summary

Prismhr Hire is seeking a skilled welder to lay out, fit, and weld fabricated, cast, and forged components for machinery frames, tanks and pressure vessels. The role requires reading instructions, planning procedures, and performing welding operations with various techniques.

Candidates should have a GED or high school diploma plus 2–3 years of related experience, and must be able to pass a welder qualification test.

SUMMARY

Lays out, fits, and welds fabricated, cast, and forged components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, pressure vessels, furnace shells and various industry parts by performing the following duties:

• Uses burning equipment to dismantle assemblies and to cut material to size and shape.
• Repairs product by dismantling, straightening, reshaping and/or assembling parts using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment.
• Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.

• High school or general education degree (GED); or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
