A leading company in the battery and extrusion markets is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator in Lebanon, OR. The role involves welding and fabricating stainless steel tanks, applying knowledge of welding techniques and metallurgy. Candidates should have at least five years of experience, with preferred skills in TIG, MIG, and Stick welding.

SUMMARY: The primary function of this position is to lay out, fit, and weld fabricated components to assembly structures such as machinery frames, tanks, and parts according to prints and knowledge of welding metallurgy. Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding, applying knowledge of geometry, physical properties of metal shrinkage, and welding techniques. May operate other equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts, high lifts, and crane trucks.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include all or some of the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Welding and fabrication of 316L SS tanks.
At least five years of experience in a welding and fabrication environment. Experience in tank building is a plus. TIG, MIG, and Stick welding skills preferred.
Language skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to comprehend and apply principles of advanced algebra and trigonometry. Ability to work with concepts such as limits and engineering equations.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
