Job summary

ARC Fabricators is actively seeking experienced Welders/Fabricators to join our team in Sioux Falls, SD. We offer a small-team environment with advancement opportunities and overtime availability. Compensation is $20.00–$25.00 per hour, plus paid vacation and holidays, with medical, vision, and dental benefits after 60 days.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Candidates should have 2–3 years of welding experience, be able to read drawings, follow instructions, and work safely

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-3 years of welding experience preferred.
• Metal fabrication experience, preferably welding.
• Able to read safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals.
• Able to read tapes measures and perform basic calculations.

Responsibilities

• Must follow instructions.
• Collaborate with plant manager, supervisor, customer, drafter, and peers to produce finished products.
• Proficient in modern welding techniques and equipment.
• Use wire and filler materials for steel fabrication.
• Operate tools for finish grinding and related tasks.
• Read and interpret drawings and blueprint specifications.
• Follow safety policies and maintain housekeeping.
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope of position.

ARC Fabricators has an immediate need to hire Welders/Fabricators. We are currently looking for an experienced welders /fabricators that enjoy custom steel fabrication.

Hours

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Must be able to follow instructions
• Collaborating directly with plant manager, shop supervisor, customer, drafter, and peers to produce finished products
• Proficient in modern welding techniques and equipment
• Using wire and filler material applications for various steel fabrication
• Using manual and power tools for finish grinding applications
• Utilizing knowledge of various machines, welding practices, mathematics and building materials
• Reading, understanding and following detailed drawings and blueprint specifications
• Performing all job functions and using all equipment safely by following all safety policies and good housekeeping practices
• Handling other duties as assigned within the scope of the position

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• 2 -3 years of Welding experience.
• Metal fabrication experience, preferably in welding
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide inches and pounds, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to read and understand tape measurers and calculators
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time
• The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Work Environment

• Exposed to moving mechanical parts, chemicals, and heat (proper PPE & safety training will be provided)
• Noise level in the work environment is usually loud
