Qualifications

• Lift up to 50 lbs and stay active on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Lead the 2nd shift CNC and welding/fabrication team.
• Perform MIG welding on steel components.
• Ensure safety and quality standards are maintained.
• Fabricate parts per engineering drawings, prints, and work orders.
• Fit, tack, and assemble components prior to final welding.
• Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Grind, clean, and finish welds to meet quality standards.
• Inspect welds for accuracy, penetration, and structural integrity.
• Maintain shop-floor safety and a clean, organized workspace per OSHA.

Job Summary

The Second Shift Welder / Fabricator Supervisor is responsible for both performing welding tasks and managing the 2nd shift CNC and fabrication team. You will ensure that production targets are met, quality standards are maintained, and safety protocols are followed while actively participating in the assembly and fabrication of armored vehicle components.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and manage the 2nd shift CNC and welding/fabrication team to ensure daily production goals are achieved
• Troubleshoot fabrication issues and provide technical guidance to resolve production bottlenecks
• Perform MIG welding on steel components and assemblies
• Fabricate parts according to engineering drawings, prints, and work orders
• Fit, tack, and assemble components prior to final welding
• Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions
• Grind, clean, and finish welds to meet quality and appearance standards
• Oversee and inspect welds for accuracy, penetration, and structural integrity
• Manage shop‑floor safety and ensure a clean, organized work environment in compliance with OSHA
