Location: Pittsfield, MA

Pay: $22.00 – $35.00 per hour ($2 shift differential)

Job Type: Full-Time | First Shift (7am – 3:30pm) and Second Shift (3:30pm – 12am) | Overtime Available

Job Summary

The CNC Operator is responsible for operating state-of-the-art CNC machinery including laser cutting systems and/or hydraulic press brakes to produce high-precision steel and armor plate components. This role requires a high degree of precision and a deep understanding of how heavy-gauge steel behaves during the cutting and bending processes.

What You’ll Do

• Operate Trumpf CNC laser cutting equipment and/or hydraulic press brakes to process armor plate
• Set up machinery and select proper tooling or dies based on metal thickness and specifications
• Review blueprints and CAD drawings to ensure high-tolerance accuracy and fitment
• Interpret bend sequences and dimensions from engineering drawings
• Verify part accuracy using calipers, protractors, squares, and other precision tools
• Load and unload heavy materials safely using overhead cranes and forklifts
• Perform routine machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to keep equipment running
• Ensure all finished parts meet strict quality control and OSHA safety standards

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of experience operating CNC laser cutting machines and/or hydraulic press brakes
• Experience with Trump CNC equipment is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and engineering drawings
• Strong basic math skills and high attention to detail
• Experience with material handling equipment (overhead cranes/forklifts)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for the duration of a shift
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
