Job summary

Jatca Inc in Holland, MI is seeking a Fab & Machine Fabricator for a role with competitive weekly pay and benefits. Flexible first shift start times available between 5am and 7am, with 8 hour shifts and occasional overtime.

You will weld and fabricate ferrous and non-ferrous metals, read blueprints, and operate MIG/TIG welders, plasma cutter, grinders, and related tools. Maintain 5S standards and teamwork to meet customer specifications.

Qualifications

• 1+ year industrial experience preferred.
• Pass AWS D1.1 qualifications.
• Pass annual Chromium VI medical certification.
• Annual Chromium VI protection training program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, weld, and fabricate ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
• Operate MIG/TIG welders, torches, plasma cutter, grinders, clamps and other tools.
• Organize work area to 5S standards and keep it clean.
• Read and interpret blueprints.
• Identify different types of steel.
• Solve or communicate discrepancies.
• Work individually or in teams to accomplish tasks.
• Inspect lifting devices before use.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We currently have a position available for a Fab & Machine Fabricator. The position provides competitive, weekly pay with benefits. This is a great opportunity with a well-known fabrication & machining company.

Flexible start time: First shift. You have the option to start from 5am-7am. / 8 hr. shifts with occasional OT.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, welds, and fabricates ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
• Use fabricating tools such as mig & tig welders, torches, plasma cutter, grinders, clamps, and other tools to perform duties.
• Organizes and maintains work area to 5S standards.
• Reads and interprets blueprints.
• Able to identify different types of steel.
• Ability to solve or communicate discrepancies.
• Strong understanding of customer requirements.
• Work as an individual, or within a team to accomplish a task or goal.
• Operate equipment in a safe manner.
• Abide by safety policies and best practices.
• Report unsafe work acts.
• Inspect all lifting devices before use.
• Cleans and organizes area at the end of shift.
• Supports and assists lead.
• Assists in other areas when needed.
• Provide support to BU’s when requested.
• Work to and follow AWS Standards, along with WPS qualifications.

Skill Requirements

• Minimum Experience: 1-year prior industrial experience is preferred; 2 years vocational school is preferred.
• Ability to Pass and operate within AWS D 1.1 Qualifications.
• Must pass annual Chromium (VI) medical certification.
• Participate in annual Chromium (VI) protection training program.
