Job summary

Laborup is hiring Welders and Fabricators to fabricate high-quality metal parts in a production manufacturing environment. This hands-on welding role uses blueprints, positions, and secures components, adjusts equipment, completes welds in multiple positions, and inspects work to meet quality standards.

You’ll use grinders and finishing tools, operate overhead cranes to move parts, and cross-train across production areas. The role requires a Welder Qualification Test.

Qualifications

• Blueprints and drawings reading required.
• Ability to read basic work instructions and follow procedures.
• Ability to use basic measuring tools.
• Willingness to work overtime when production demands require it.

Responsibilities

• Perform production welding on metal parts and assemblies.
• Complete welds in flat, horizontal, vertical, and overhead positions.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Position, fit, and secure components prior to welding.
• Adjust welding equipment and machine settings as needed.
• Measure parts to ensure they meet specifications.
• Clean and finish completed welds using grinders, wire wheels, and needle guns.
• Heat and form metal components when required.
• Operate overhead cranes to safely move and position parts.
• Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy.
• Cross-train and assist in different production areas.
• Follow all safety PPE, housekeeping, and 6S procedures.
