Job Title: Welder/Fabricator (NIGHT SHIFT)

Company Overview

Bendel Tank and Heat Exchanger, LLC, a division of TransTech Energy, LLC, is a growing company servicing the Chemical and Industrial markets. We manufacture stainless steel and alloy vessels and heat exchangers up to 75,000 gallons and 15’ diameter. To meet increasing demand, we are looking to expand our team.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our night shift team, focusing on fabrication and welding of tanks and vessels. The ideal candidate will interpret blueprints and technical drawings, and utilize welding techniques such as TIG, MIG, and plasma cutting. Work hours are 6 pm - 6 am, Monday through Thursday, with potential overtime.

Primary Functions and Duties

• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and measurements for planning layouts.
• Operate welding equipment including TIG, MIG, and plasma cutters.
• Fit, fabricate, and weld components for tanks and vessels, including nozzles, manways, ladders, handrails, and platforms.
• Follow safety regulations, including wearing appropriate protective gear.
• Weld in flat, vertical, and overhead positions using manual or semi-automatic equipment.
• Maintain equipment safety and cleanliness.
• Work a minimum of 40 hours per week, with overtime as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure quality standards, working with stainless steel, carbon steel, and high nickel alloys.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess

• Ability to read blueprints and measurements for building products.
• Experience in layout, fitting, and welding of nozzles and parts per drawings.
• Ability to operate an overhead crane.
• Pass ASME 6G SCH.80 (SA312TP316L) 2" pipe test using GTAW process.
• Pass ASME 2G plate (SA36 & SA240-304) test using GMAW process.
• Pass a drug test and background check.
• Lift up to 50 lbs, work safely from ladders, and inside tanks/vessels.
• Experience with TIG & MIG welding; pulsed MIG preferred.
• Experience working with stainless steel, carbon steel, and high nickel alloys.

Salary

• $52,000 to $67,000, depending on experience and skills.
