Job summary

Sulzer Machine & Manufacturing, INC. is seeking a skilled welder for our Wisconsin facility. You will weld in various positions, read and interpret blueprints, and lay out, fit and weld fabricated components to exact specifications.

The role requires lifting heavy objects and working in awkward positions, with a 2nd shift option carrying a $5.00 per hour premium. We offer full benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Knowledge of aluminum, stainless and carbon steels and the various welding processes to weld them.
• Ability to read and understand complex blueprints.
• Positive workplace attitude and ability to work well with others.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in awkward positions as part of production tasks.

Responsibilities

• Weld in a variety of positions.
• Layout, fit and weld fabricated components.
• Lift heavy objects and work in awkward positions, including bending, stooping, or standing as required.
• Weld using flux, stick, MIG, TIG, carbon arc and full pen techniques.
• Understand repair techniques.
• Press, heat, and shrink assemblies.
• Maintain a positive workplace attitude and work well with others.
• Read and understand complex blueprints.
