Job summary

Monroechamber is seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder for a 2nd-shift manufacturing role in Racine, WI. You will perform MIG and TIG welding on fabricated metal components, read blueprints, and fabricate parts from drawings.

The ideal candidate has sheet metal fabrication experience, strong fixture-building skills, and can setup welding equipment while maintaining quality and safety standards on a Monday-Thursday schedule (3:30pm–2:00am).

Qualifications

• Previous MIG and TIG welding experience required.
• Sheet metal manufacturing/fabrication experience required.
• Strong blueprint reading skills required.
• Ability to read weld symbols, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Experience building and working with fixtures

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on fabricated metal components.
• Set up welding and fabrication equipment for assigned jobs.
• Fabricate and assemble parts according to blueprints and specifications.
• Build, modify, and utilize fixtures and jigs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols.
• Measure, cut, fit, tack, and weld sheet metal components.
• Verify dimensions and tolerances using appropriate measuring tools.
• Inspect completed welds and fabricated parts for quality and accuracy.
• Make adjustments as necessary to meet specifications.
• Maintain a high level of workmanship and attention to detail.
• Follow established safety, quality, and production procedures.

Position Title: Fabricator/Welder Wage: $22.00-$29.00/hour + $1.50/hour shift premium Shift: 2nd Hours: 3:30pm-2:00am Monday-Thursday

We are seeking an experienced Fabricator/Welder for a 2nd-shift manufacturing opportunity in Racine, WI. This position requires a skilled MIG/TIG welder with strong fabrication abilities, excellent blueprint reading skills, and previous sheet metal manufacturing experience. The ideal candidate will be comfortable completing setups, building fixtures, fabricating parts from blueprints, and consistently producing high-quality finished work.

Fabricator/Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on fabricated metal components
• Set up welding and fabrication equipment for assigned jobs
• Fabricate and assemble parts according to blueprints and specifications
• Build, modify, and utilize fixtures and jigs
