Job summary

Qualified Staffing is seeking experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our Lapeer-area manufacturing team. This on-site role requires MIG/TIG welding on multiple metals, interpreting blueprints, and working Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM.

Pay ranges from $20–$30 per hour and on-site weld testing is required. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented team players, capable of reading schematics, and performing fabrication tasks with ASME standards in defense and commercial environments.

Qualifications

• Experience in welding and fabrication environments, especially structural steel.
• Proficient in MIG and TIG welding.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, schematics and drawings to determine fabrication specs.
• Weld on various materials using MIG (GMAW) and TIG (GTAW) per AWS.
• Use hand and power tools.
• Operate cranes and forklifts to move materials safely.
• Measure with calipers and micrometers to ensure proper fit.
• Follow ASME codes and safety standards.
• Collaborate with team to meet deadlines.
