Job summary

Capital Materials is seeking a skilled welder to support welding on plants and equipment at multiple quarry sites around Missouri. The role is based in Sedalia, MO, with travel to job sites across the state.

The successful candidate will read welding blueprints, perform TIG, MIG, and stick welds, and ensure parts meet dimensional specs. A valid driver's license and ability to lift 50 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• Welding experience required; willing to train the right candidate.
• Experience with torches, plasma cutters, and grinders.
• Must be able to travel across Missouri and hold a valid driver’s license.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screening, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Manufactures, repairs, modifies, rebuilds, and assembles components for plants and equipment.
• Read and interpret welding blueprints and symbols.
• Welds and maintains consistent pace to meet schedules.
• Use gauges to verify dimensional accuracy of parts.
• Operate machinery safely and maintain a clean work area.

Capital Materials is looking for a skilled individual who is capable of welding on plants and equipment. This position will be based out of Sedalia, MO, and travel around to our rock quarry sites in Missouri.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESManufactures, repairs, modifies, rebuilds, and assembles various components related to our plants and equipmentRead and interpret welding blueprints, including all standard welding symbolsWelds and performs work at a steady pace to maintain the construction schedule and meet efficiency ratesUses required measuring instruments and gauges to check and ensure parts meet dimensional requirementsOperates all machinery and equipment according to safety requirementsMust maintain equipment and machineryMaintain clean and organized work areasOther duties as assignedREQUIREMENTSWelding experience- willing to give experience to the right candidateExperience with torches, plasma cutters, and grindersExperience with TIG, MIG, and stick weldingMust be willing to travel across MissouriMust have valid driver’s license, Class E preferredMust have the ability to stand for long periods of time.Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds without assistanceMust pass a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position.
