Job summary

Capital Sand Company in Jefferson City, MO is seeking a skilled welder to join our team. The role focuses on welding on plants and equipment, reading blueprints, and maintaining parts to meet dimensional specs while adhering to safety standards.

The position is based in Jefferson City, MO and requires physical endurance and reliability. The successful candidate will perform various welding tasks, operate related machinery, travel across Missouri as needed, and contribute to timely project

Qualifications

• Welding experience with TIG, MIG and stick welding.
• Ability to read welding blueprints and interpret symbols.
• Must be willing to travel across Missouri and lift up to 50 pounds.

Job Location: Capital Sand Company - MO - Jefferson City, MO 65101

Position Type: Full Time

Capital Sand is looking for a skilled individual who is capable of welding on plants and equipment. This position will be based out of Jefferson City, MO.

Responsibilities

• Manufactures, repairs, modifies, rebuilds, and assembles various components related to our plants and equipment
• Read and interpret welding blueprints, including all standard welding symbols
• Welds and performs work at a steady pace to maintain the construction schedule and meet efficiency rates
• Uses required measuring instruments and gauges to check and ensure parts meet dimensional requirements
• Operates all machinery and equipment according to safety requirements
• Must maintain equipment and machinery
• Maintain clean and organized work areas
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Welding experience - willing to give experience to the right candidate
• Experience with torches, plasma cutters, and grinders
• Experience with TIG, MIG, and stick welding
• Must be willing to travel across Missouri
• Must have valid driver’s license, Class E preferred
• Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time
• Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds without assistance
• Must pass a pre‑employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, and background check
