Job Description: Pulp and Paper Technician

The technician will support sales and service efforts in the Green Bay/Appleton Area. Responsibilities include conducting basic lab tests, maintaining equipment, chemical transfers, process monitoring in paper and pulp mills, and keeping detailed records. The role involves working safely and reporting results effectively.

Responsibilities:

1. The primary resource for routine testing and monitoring at customer sites, including data entry and service report preparation.
2. Interface with customers to address issues related to chemicals or equipment.
3. Manage product inventory, including deliveries and offloading to customer tanks.
4. Adjust chemical feed levels based on testing and monitoring to optimize performance; deliver chemicals and compile trial data.
5. Alert site managers or support engineers to issues or opportunities and assist in troubleshooting.
6. Conduct expanded testing to identify improvements or mechanical impacts.
7. Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot monitoring and feed equipment.
8. Collaborate with site teams and customers to ensure optimal program performance.
9. Perform mechanical and electrical equipment repairs.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Flexibility in schedule, including after-hours calls and visits; primarily M-F day shift, with potential weekend OT.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working with mechanical and electrical systems in an industrial environment; chemical handling experience is a plus but not required.
