Job summary

Henderson Products Inc located in Huntley, IL is seeking an Installation Technician for the night shift in our heavy bay. You will perform MIG welding, fabrication, and assembly on up-fit projects for heavy-duty trucks, read schematics and blueprints, and assist with diagnostics and repairs while working in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in manufacturing or assembly environments.
• Welding and fabrication knowledge strongly preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and diagrams.
• Flexibility for night shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding and fabrication in the heavy bay.
• Assist with installation and upfit on heavy-duty truck builds.
• Read schematics and blueprints; interpret diagrams and blueprints.
• Support diagnostic and repair work as part of the installation process.
• Maintain safety, quality standards and housekeeping in the work area.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE

As an Installation Technician in our heavy bay you will have a variety of responsibilities including MIG welding fabrication and some assembly work in the up fit and installation of equipment on heavy duty work truck builds The role also involves diagnostic and repair work You will need to read schematics diagrams blueprints perform shop math experience in MIG Welding and ensure accurate installations and repairs Knowledge of wiring and electrical systems andor hydraulics is a plus

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS

• preferred Basic shop math & ability to interpret work instructions diagrams & blueprints
• Hand dexterity and working knowledge of hand tools
• Must be willing to work in a team environment
• Previous experience in manufacturing setting
• Familiarity with weld assembly processes
• Technical degree helpful andor specialty certifications ie welding electrical hydraulics not required

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Ability to liftpush up to 50 lbs
• Bending lifting and standing
• Exposure to noise and weld and grinding smoke at times
