Henderson Products, Inc. in Huntley, IL is seeking an Installation Technician for our night shift to support up-fitting heavy-duty trucks. You will MIG weld, fabricate and assemble components, read schematics, and perform wiring or hydraulic tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic shop math and ability to interpret work instructions, diagrams & blueprints.
• Read schematics, diagrams and blueprints and perform shop math.
• MIG welding experience; welding or hydraulics knowledge helpful.
• Team player with good manual dexterity and toolbox discipline.
• Technical degree or welding/electrical/hydraulics certs are helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding, fabrication, and assembly in up-fit on heavy-duty trucks.

NIGHT SHIFT - 4:00PM to 2:00AM - Monday through Friday

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE:

As an Installation Technician in our heavy bay, you will have a variety of responsibilities including MIG welding, fabrication, and some assembly work in the up-fit and installation of equipment on heavy-duty work truck builds.

The role also involves diagnostic and repair work. You will need to read schematics, diagrams, blueprints, perform shop math, experience in MIG Welding, and ensure accurate installations and repairs. Knowledge of wiring and electrical systems and/or hydraulics is a plus.

WHAT THIS ROLE NEEDS (preferred):

• Basic shop math & ability to interpret work instructions, diagrams & blueprints
• Hand dexterity and working knowledge of hand tools
• Must be willing to work in a team environment
• Previous experience in manufacturing setting
• Familiarity with weld, assembly processes
• Technical degree helpful and/or specialty certifications (i.e., welding, electrical, hydraulics), not required

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs.
• Bending, lifting, and standing
• Exposure to noise and weld and grinding smoke at times
