Job summary

Jones Excavating in West Jordan, UT is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our shop team. This role focuses on quality MIG and stick welding with occasional field work, building and fabricating custom metal projects.

You will read blueprints, interpret drawings, and operate common fabrication equipment while maintaining a clean, safe workspace. TIG welding is a plus but not required; training is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience with MIG and stick welding in shop and field.
• Ability to read blueprints and shop drawings.
• Capable of fabricating and assembling metal projects.
• Knowledge of fabrication equipment operation is a plus.

We're looking for an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our team.

This is primarily a shop position with occasional field work.

We build quality work and expect pride in craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MIG welding (required).
• Perform stick welding in the shop and in the field (required).
• TIG welding is preferred but not required.
• Read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings.
• Fabricate and assemble custom metal projects.
• Operate common fabrication equipment.
• Press brake, tube laser, and flat laser experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Occasional field installation and repair work

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently

Additional Information

Pay starts at $25 per hour DOE
