Job summary

Fulcrum Technologies, Inc. in Oregon is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to join our precision fabrication team. You will work from engineering drawings to cut, fit, weld, and finish high-precision parts for vibration-sensitive tooling.

Qualifications

• 3+ years welding and fabrication experience (GMAW, FCAW, GTAW).
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols.
• Knowledge of welding parameters: amperage, voltage, and wire feed.
• Strong layout, math, and measurement skills (metric & imperial).
• Experience with hand tools, grinders, fabrication and finishing tools.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Committed to high-quality work and meeting deadlines.
• Collaborative, solution-oriented team player.

Responsibilities

• Cut, drill, tap and prepare metal parts per specifications.
• Read and interpret shop drawings and weld symbols.
• Perform fit-ups, tack welds and final welds.
• Flatten, straighten and prep parts for powder coating.
• Grind and finish components as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Collaborate with team and track job progress.
• Follow safety procedures and participate in safety meetings.
• Take initiative to solve fabrication and production challenges.
• Support other production activities as needed.

• Day Shift (4 x 10s): Monday through Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Swing Shift (4 x 10s): Monday through Thursday, 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM
• Weekend Shift (3 x 12s): Friday through Sunday, 5:00 AM to 5:30 PM

What You'll Do

As a Welder/Fabricator, you'll be hands-on with critical components, working from engineering drawings to cut, fit, weld, and finish high-precision parts. You'll play a key role in delivering the quality and reliability our customers count on.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities Include:

• Cutting, drilling, tapping, and preparing metal parts according to specifications.
• Reading and interpreting shop drawings and welding symbols accurately.
• Performing fit-ups, tack welding, and final welds.
• Flattening, straightening, and preparing parts for powder coating.
• Grinding and finishing components as required.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Collaborating with team members and communicating job progress.
• Following all safety procedures and participating in safety meetings.
• Taking initiative to solve fabrication and production challenges.
• Supporting other production and manufacturing activities as needed.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking candidates with:

• 3+ years of welding and fabrication experience using GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW processes.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols.
• Knowledge of welding parameters, including amperage, voltage, and wire feed settings.
• Strong layout, math, and measuring skills using both metric and imperial systems.
• Experience using hand tools, grinders, fabrication equipment, and finishing tools.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Commitment to producing high-quality work while meeting deadlines.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• A collaborative, solution-oriented attitude and team-first mindset.

This position is based in our indoor fabrication facility and includes physically active tasks such as lifting, bending, welding, grinding, and material handling.
