Ikoniq in Canandaigua, NY is seeking a Welder Fabricator to join a growing team focused on concession framing and assemblies. You will perform welding, grinding, and plasma cutting, using MIG and TIG processes to fabricate weldments and ensure proper fit and alignment through precise assembly.

Applicants should read blueprints, follow safety standards, and lift 25+ pounds as needed. Overtime may be required; fluent English a plus.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fabricating and welding steel and aluminum.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and plasma cutting techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Familiarity with fabrication and welding codes and safety standards.
• Good mechanical aptitude and problem solving skills.

Welder Responsibilities

• Rig and assemble fabricated components to ensure proper fit and alignment
• Follow codes and standards to ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Utilize magnetic drill, metal chop saws, grinders, and hand drills to complete tasks
• Must be able to lift 25+ pounds safely and routinely

Experience needed

• Proven experience in fabricating and welding steel and aluminum, preferably in a manufacturing or construction setting
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and plasma cutting techniques
• Familiarity with codes and standards related to fabrication and welding processes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

Welder applicants will be scheduled to perform a weld test as part of their interview and will be required to provide their own helmet, welpers, and gloves.

Applicants must have a good work ethic and be willing to occasionally work overtime. 8+ hour shifts, Monday through Friday. Some weekends may be worked if overtime is needed. Fluent in English and Spanish would be a plus!
