Ross Engineering, a 180-year-old and growing company, produces unique and custom industrial mixers used worldwide in the manufacturing of paints, inks, chemicals, foods, and pharmaceuticals.

This location in Savannah, GA, employs approximately 40 people on a Monday through Friday daytime shift. Ross also has locations in Long Island, NY, and Port St. Lucie, FL.

Job Description:

• Interpret engineering drawings, fit and weld metal components, operate welding equipment, and ensure weld quality and integrity.
• Pass one or multiple ASME weld tests upon hiring.
• Perform all tasks in accordance with ASME standards and requirements.
• Use blueprints and design sketches to ensure proper dimensions, tolerances, and correct component installation.
• Maintain all documentation related to job responsibilities.
• Take responsibility for and care of assigned tools and equipment.
• Weld metal parts on fixtures, including attaching jigs and clamps to hold parts in position.
• Perform welding using Stick, TIG, and MIG techniques (Sub-Arc welding experience is a plus), in various positions once ASME weld test is passed.
• Cut materials using air arcs, burning rods, and acetylene/oxygen torches to meet fabrication requirements.
• Problem solve and make independent decisions regarding welds and fabrication issues.

Required/Recommended Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
