Job summary

Granco Clark, Inc. is seeking an experienced welder/fabricator to produce parts for automated equipment. You will read blueprints, set up and weld to engineering specs, and assemble subassemblies per instructions.

The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on welding experience, familiarity with Tig, Mig, and Stick processes, and the ability to operate a drill press, forklift, and crane. Overtime may be required; a strong safety focus is essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of welding and fabrication experience for automated equipment.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics.
• Experience with hand and power tools and with milling and lathe machines.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics is preferred.
• Read schematics; assemble machines and subassemblies per prints and specs.
• Commitment to safety and a willingness to work overtime.

Fabricates and welds parts following blueprints and engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Must have 3-5 years of prior hands-on experience in welding and fabricating parts for automated equipment.
• Must be able to interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams or schematics to determine appropriate welding process
• Must be able to understand and use all related hand and power tools along with conventional milling & lathe machines.
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics is preferred.
• Ability to read schematics a big plus.
• Will assemble machines, equipment, and their subassemblies, in accordance with engineering prints and/or other written and verbal specifications.
• Drills, taps, or reams holes, using drill press.
• Must be capable of bending, stooping, crawling as well as lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must be willing to work overtime.
• Maintain a safe and effective working environment.
• Work both autonomously and as part of a team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Proficiency with a wide range of tools and equipment.
• Ability to apply foundational mathematics and mechanical aptitude to accurately interpret blueprints and adhere to welding symbols and specifications.
• Proficiency in industry-specific safety practices.
• Skilled in multiple arc welding processes, including Tig, Mig and Stick welding.
• Experienced forklift and crane operator.
