Join to apply for the Welder-Fabricator role at FLANDERS.

This position is responsible for welding various pieces of non-routine and moderately complex equipment & machinery. It also requires creating and fabricating from scratch various pieces of moderately complex motor parts and equipment using blueprints.

The essential job functions include, but are not limited to:

1. Perform moderately complex welding including TIG, MIG, and ARC (stick) welding, and plasma cutting.
2. Perform horizontal and vertical welding.
3. Fabricate moderately complex parts and equipment.
4. Review and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbology, to complete the job.
5. Record all data necessary to produce expected service and/or design results, including sizings and illustrations.

The position requirements are:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Three years of welding and fabricating experience.
3. Ability to fabricate with minimal guidance and multiple variables.
4. Knowledge of wire and filler material applications and gases used on various metals.
5. Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, basic trigonometry, and geometry.
6. Ability to read, write, and comprehend basic to moderately complex instructions.
7. Ability to understand, perform, and retain various job-related training, operational, and safety procedures.
8. Exercise initiative, judgment, and decision-making within set standards.
9. Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and other equipment.
10. Seldom work in confined spaces.
