Overview

The position will require working individually or with a small team of Welders, Fabricators, Designers, Engineers, and Mechanics to execute customer projects across motorsports, automotive, defense, and commercial industries.

This role involves layout and fabrication of metal weldments and assemblies, interpreting work orders, and using drawings, specs, and verbal instructions. The candidate must be familiar with welding and structural fabrication processes, and able to use hand tools, machine tools, and welding equipment. Self-checking, meeting deadlines, documenting progress, and working with minimal supervision are essential. The role requires professionalism, flexibility, dependability, and the ability to transition between projects efficiently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Proficient in MIG and TIG welding of thin gauge aluminum, stainless steel, and steel.
• Operate hand tools and various shop machines, including hydraulic brake presses.
• Interpret complex blueprints and collaborate with other departments.
• Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to safety standards.

Knowledge and Skills

Minimum 5 years of welding/layout experience, with skills in complicated layouts, shrinkage calculations, and project management. Proficiency gained through extensive related experience in welding and fabrication.

• Ability to rig and move heavy structures.
• Own tools appropriate for the job.
• Apply common sense and detailed instructions effectively.
