Central Stone Company in Hannibal, MO is seeking a Welder/Fabricator for its Fabrication Shop. The role involves welding, cutting, fabrication and finishing of structural steel.

Responsibilities

• Media blast and paint fabricated steel pieces as needed.
• Communicate with shop management and team on safety, maintenance and production needs.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Major Welder/Fabricator responsibilities include:

• Following all safety and environmental rules, regulations and procedures as set forth by company policies and OSHA
• Operating and monitoring all equipment and production area safely and efficiently
• Fabricating steel from pieces using various cutting equipment and welding parts together per specifications
• Media blasting and painting the fabricated steel pieces as needed
• Communicating with shop management and team on all safety, maintenance, and production needs
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Welder/Fabricator Candidate Requirements:

• Safety-Focused
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to perform rigorous physical activities in all weather conditions
• Self-motivated with a solid work ethic
• Minimum of 2 years’ welding experience

Our ideal candidate would possess two years of verifiable experience in blueprint reading, welding, cutting, fabrication and painting of structural steel. A good working knowledge of shears, punches & other metal forming equipment and plasma cutting tables is helpful, but we will train the right individual.
