Job summary

Central Stone Company in Hannibal, MO is seeking a Welder/Fabricator for our fabrication shop. This full-time role offers competitive pay and a benefits package including health, dental, vision, holidays, vacation, 401k with company match.

You will follow safety rules, operate and monitor equipment, fabricate steel from components, perform media blasting and painting as needed, and communicate with management on safety and production needs. Pre-employment physical and background check required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years welding experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and fabricate to specifications.
• Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety and environmental rules and OSHA regulations.
• Operate and monitor equipment in the production area safely and efficiently.
• Fabricate steel pieces from components per specifications.
• Perform media blasting and painting of fabricated steel pieces as needed.
• Communicate with shop management on safety, maintenance, and production needs.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Major Welder/Fabricator responsibilities include:

• Following all safety and environmental rules, regulations and procedures as set forth by company policies and OSHA
• Operating and monitoring all equipment and production area safely and efficiently
• Fabricating steel from pieces using various cutting equipment and welding parts together per specifications
• Media blasting and painting the fabricated steel pieces as needed
• Communicating with shop management and team on all safety, maintenance, and production needs
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Welder/Fabricator Candidate Requirements:

• Safety-Focused
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to perform rigorous physical activities in all weather conditions
• Self-motivated with a solid work ethic
• Minimum of 2 years’ welding experience

Our ideal candidate would possess two years of verifiable experience in blueprint reading, welding, cutting, fabrication and painting of structural steel. A good working knowledge of shears, punches & other metal forming equipment and plasma cutting tables is helpful, but we will train the right individual.
