Job Title: Welder/Fabricator at Burke Porter, an Ascential Technologies Company

Join us to apply for the Welder/Fabricator role at Burke Porter, an Ascential Technologies Company.

Primary Responsibilities and Competencies:

• Read blueprints for specifications such as material, type, and size of stock, and dimensions to be cut. Obtain and transfer stock to machine.
• Measure work for conformance to specifications.
• Retrieve parts from staging areas.
• Help prepare weldments for priming and finish coating.
• Position and secure workpieces to table, angle plate, or vises, and verify position.
• Interpret machine readings and adjust weight accordingly.
• Drill, grind, chip, or file metal from heavy side or welds, and solder or rivet pieces to correct imbalance.
• Verify dimensions of machined workpieces with a tape measure within 1/8 of an inch.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Proficient in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques and processes.
• 4+ years of fabrication experience preferred.
• Structural welding experience preferred.
• Basic math skills, especially reading tape measures and measuring instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding specifications.
• Owns hand tools and measuring tools.
