Job summary

Veritas Steel LLC in Eau Claire, WI is seeking a Welder to join our production team on the 2nd shift (430PM–250AM Mon–Thurs). This role performs FCAW welding on structural steel and contributes to fabricating bridge girder components, with emphasis on quality and safety.

Starting pay ranges from $27.07 to $32.22 per hour, plus weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package including insurance, retirement plans, PTO starting after first month, 10 paid holidays, uniforms, boot allowance, and PPE.

Qualifications

• 1+ year welding experience; FCWA required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints/technical drawings.
• Commitment to safety culture and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Execute high-quality FCAW welding on structural steel.
• Set up and adjust welding equipment for assigned tasks.
• Weld in multiple positions: flat, vertical, horizontal, overhead.
• Fabricate, drill, grind, and assemble bridge girder components per specs.
• Perform FCAW welding and other assembly operations to meet production standards.
• Use tools, clamps, and fixtures to ensure proper alignment and fit.

Join Veritas Steel as a Welder, where you'll play a vital role in the production of bridge girder components. This position involves a combination of welding, fabricating, and assembly operations, requiring precision, attention to detail, and the ability to meet high production demands. You'll ensure quality and safety while contributing to the construction of critical infrastructure projects. Welder also adhere to company policies to ensure a safe working environment. Physical Requirements:

• Able to lift up to 75lbs occasionally
• Must be able to push /move objects up to 100 lbs. of force
• Necessary to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, climb, and work at heights
• Must have a good range of motion when reaching forward, shoulder to overhead, and bending

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed indoors in a large warehouse or outside in all weather conditions
• May be required to climb heights for work
• Regular exposure to dirt, dust, paint fumes, noise, moving equipment, heavy steel, Heights & other possible hazardous conditions
• Safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel-toed boots are required; a respirator is required for specific operations
