Job summary

Gerhart is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our Tatamy, PA team. You will fabricate from blueprints or sketches, operate TIG/MIG welding and grinding equipment, and ensure a high degree of accuracy from raw material to finished product.

You should be familiar with common metal shop tools, able to work independently or as part of a team, and comfortable with lifting 50 lb+ while adhering to OSHA safety standards. Competitive pay and growth opportunities available.

What You’ll Do:

• Fabricate from professional blue prints or sketches as required
• Work with a variety of metal welding and grinding/sanding techniques in order to work at a very high degree of accuracy and finished product
• Fabricate from raw material to finished product

What You Bring:

• Familiar with common metal shop tools and equipment. (i.e. welders - TIG & MIG, Brazing, Cutting Torches, grinders, breaks, drills, taps, saws, fixtures, measuring, etc.)
• Effective communication skills is a must
• Capable of working both independently and as a team to perform all jobs and projects
• Previous work experience with Pipe Fitting, Tube Bending, Compression Fitting Experience
• Forklift Certification
• Physically Fit; position requires consistent lifting, moving, and carrying product 50 lb or more
• Willing and able to bend, crawl, and lift for extended periods of time in a safe manner meeting company guidelines and OSHA standards
• Self-motivated with critical thinking skills
