Job summary

Gerhart is seeking Field Service Technicians to calibrate weighing and material handling systems on-site, often outdoors, with a mechanical or electrical background. You will operate company vehicles, troubleshoot equipment, and relay service updates to customers and the Team Leader.

The role emphasizes flexibility, customer focus, and the ability to work in varying conditions. CDL is preferred, and physical stamina is important for daily tasks and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Willing to work overtime as needed.
• General mechanical or electrical background required.
• Customer-focused mindset and self-starter attitude.
• Able to work outdoors in all conditions.
• Familiarity with industrial service tools; welding is a plus.
• Basic understanding of 120VAC/DC wiring.
• Physically able to bend, crawl and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Maintain valid driver's license and safe driving record.
• CDL preferred.

What You’ll Do:

• Perform thorough on-site calibrations of weighing and material handling systems

• Ability to mechanically troubleshoot, identify, and diagnose malfunctions and repair weighing equipment
• Interact in a professional manner with customers. Review and communicate your scheduled task, call status, and service reports with the customer and Team Leader
