Job summary

The Tuckey Companies is seeking an experienced welder with strong welding and fabrication skills. The role involves reading blueprints, laying out and assembling components, and operating a range of fabricating equipment. Work may occur in a shop or in the field as required, with advancement opportunities.

Qualifications include 1–2 years in trade, ability to read drawings, and a PA driver’s license. A high school diploma or GED is required.

Seeing experienced welder whom displays well-rounded skills in both welding and fabrication. Operate fabricating machines such as cutoff saws, shears, rolls, brakes, presses, forming machines, spinning machines and punches that cut, shape and bend metal plates, sheets, tubes and structures. As a welder; lays out, fits and welds fabricated and cast components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames, tanks, furnace shells and building and bridge parts, according to blueprints and knowledge of welding and metallurgy. May work either in shop or in the field, as assigned.
Qualifications include but are not limited to: 1 to 2 years experience in trade. Must understand geometry and be able to look at flat drawings, pictures and blueprints to visualize how they would look as solid objects with height, width and depth. Possess ability to rate information using standards that can be measured or checked. See detail in objects and recognize slight differences in shapes or shadings. Must have current PA Driver's license. Must have high school diploma or GED.
