Welder Fabrication - Utility Trucks & Equipment

Location: Union Grove, WI 53182

Custom Truck One Source in Union Grove, WI is a truck up-fitting and repair facility with openings for metal fabricators. The employee will be responsible for creating custom fabricated accessories based on customer requests. The ideal candidate will be capable of taking customer specifications and independently creating the finished product using standard metal fabrication tools.

You will assist with the up-fitting and customizing of vehicles used by utility companies, including bucket trucks, boom trucks, digger derricks, and more.

Work Schedule

• Monday – Friday, 5:00 am – 3:30 pm

Welding Details

• Most welding is .045 flux core.
• Metal thickness varies from 14 gauge to 1” (3/16” to ½”), including mild steel.
• Welding processes include MIG and TIG.

Essential Duties

• Maintain a safe work environment at all times.
• Evaluate the steps needed to complete tasks quickly and safely.
• Identify materials and tools required for each task.
• Cut, bend, punch, shape, and weld metal to create parts, including brackets, bumpers, outrigger subframes, and larger components.
• Suggest improvements for safety, quality, and productivity in fabrication processes.
• Follow job instructions accurately.
• Communicate effectively with team members across departments.
• Adhere to company operational procedures and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of shop and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Previous fabrication experience required.
• Ability to pass a welding certification test.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and understand instructions and information.
• Own tools required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
