Job summary

ColonialWebb Contractors Company is seeking an experienced Welder/Fitter to join our Richmond team. You will lay out, fabricate, assemble, install and weld piping systems for steam, hot water, heating, cooling and industrial processing systems.

Qualifications include AWS 6G certification or progression through ColonialWebb, MIG/TIG/Stick welding experience, ability to read drawings, OSHA safety knowledge, and basic shop math. This is a full‑time on‑site role with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

  • AWS 6G certification is required or obtainable through ColonialWebb.
  • Experience welding pipes and fittings in industrial environments.
  • Ability to read drawings and submittals.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
  • Basic construction/shop math skills.

Responsibilities

  • Weld pipes and metals using MIG, TIG, and Stick methods.
  • Determine equipment and welding method per specs.
  • Plan installation sequence to avoid obstructions.
  • Assemble and install metal pipe and fittings.
  • Secure pipes to structures and test for leaks.
  • Remove slag and rough spots with grinder.
